Embracing abundance
This month has been abundant.
Not in terms of wealth or material possessions, but with a mindset that has deep awareness of everything that surrounds me. There is so much life, and I am here for it.
Witnessing Tats Ward champion Dravet’s fundraising to +£100k has been utterly inspirational. A woman who embodies the notion of abundance in its purest, fullest form. What an honour it is to know and learn from her.
Over the last few months, I’ve been actively working on shifting my focus. From a place of ‘less than one’, to focusing on what I have rather than what I lack. This is a daily conscious effort to recognise and appreciate the positives, the small things. Plot spoiler – some days are more successful than others, but in moments, I do feel, well, different. I’m more positive, more appreciative, more present.
In the spirit of sharing and of ownership, there are 5 things I am working with that I have committed to.
I’m setting clear intentions. ‘Do less better’ is something we say a lot at Noble. I’m trying to apply this to life. I’ve taken the time this month to define what abundance means to me and have set clear intentions. I’ve drawn a roadmap that is making it somewhat easier to manifest, and in doing so, it has felt so grounding. This check in with myself so often falls to the wayside as I make room for yet another ‘doing’ thing on my list. (IYKYK)
I’m cultivating generosity. I’ve discovered this to be a profound way to cultivate abundance. When you give freely – whether it’s your time, resources, or kindness – you reinforce the belief that there is plenty to go around. This month I’ve held space for so many women, family, old friends, new friends, strangers. For me, time is my greatest currency and I have shared it with a deep sense of awareness. An unexpected side effect has been a deep sense of being open to receive, this is new for me.
I’m surrounding myself with positivity. Being very aware of what I am digesting, less social media, more podcasts, more fiction. Seeking out individuals who embody an abundance mentality – those who are optimistic, supportive and willing to show up. For those women in my life this month, thank you, you’ve helped me stay motivated.
I’m letting go of limiting beliefs. We all know them, the voice inside, the impostor syndrome, the narrative that isn’t even yours to carry (discovering who it may belong to is never ending work). I’m trying to replace these limiting beliefs with affirmations and celebration of worth and potential.
I’m focusing on growth and learning. Instead of fearing failure, I’m working with it in a growth mindset way. To be open, vulnerable and allow new possibilities to come through without a gripping, wanting to control and drowning in fear. This for me, is where the medicine lies.
In a world often fixated on scarcity and competition, I think the concept of abundance offers a refreshing and transformative perspective. I invite you to try it, and as always, please share your thoughts with me here.
Thank you for being part of our community. Love, Jodie x
